• Property Listings: Property details, photos, contact information
• Advertising: Ad content, payment information, and content placement preferences. Advertising targeting on Venus is limited to geographic area and content category only. Venus does NOT use demographic characteristics (such as race, gender, familial status, or national origin) for ad targeting, in compliance with the Fair Housing Act and related regulations
• Communications: Messages sent through our platform

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you use Venus, we automatically collect:

• Usage Data: How you interact with content, features used, time spent
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Location Data: General location (with your permission) for location-based features
• Analytics Data: App performance, crash reports, user behavior patterns

1.3 Payment Information

For sponsored content and promotions, we collect:

• Payment Details: Billing information processed through secure third-party payment processors (Stripe)
• Transaction Records: Payment amounts, dates, and status
• Financial Data: We do not store credit card information; this is handled by our payment processor

1.4 Sensitive Personal Information (California CPRA)

Under the California Privacy Rights Act (Civil Code §1798.121), the following information we collect may qualify as Sensitive Personal Information (SPI):

• Gender: If you choose to provide your gender in your profile settings, this is considered SPI under CPRA. Providing gender is optional and is used solely to personalize your experience (e.g., profile display)
• Precise Geolocation: With your explicit permission, we collect location data for location-based features such as nearby content discovery. You may revoke location permission at any time through your device settings

Venus uses Sensitive Personal Information solely for the purposes of providing and improving our services as described in this policy. We do not use or disclose SPI for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. You have the right to limit the use of your Sensitive Personal Information as described in Section 5.3 below.

1.5 Ethnic Origin and Non-Discrimination

Venus is a community platform open to all users regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, or any other protected characteristic. While our platform serves diverse communities, Venus does NOT collect, request, store, or infer ethnic origin, racial identity, or national origin data from its users. No algorithms or features on the platform use ethnicity-related signals for content personalization, advertising, or any other purpose. Any demographic characteristics that may be apparent from user-generated content are neither extracted nor processed by Venus.

Venus does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

• Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate Venus (analytics, payment processing, cloud storage)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety
• Business Transfers: In connection with mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales

3.3 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase: Authentication, database, analytics
• Stripe: Payment processing for sponsored content
• Algolia: Search functionality
• Apple: Sign in with Apple authentication
• Google reCAPTCHA v3: Fraud and bot prevention. reCAPTCHA v3 is loaded site-wide and operates in the background to assess whether interactions are from legitimate users. It may set cookies and transmit data (including IP address, browser characteristics, and interaction patterns) to Google for analysis. reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
• Vercel Analytics: Privacy-friendly website analytics for measuring page views, performance metrics, and basic usage patterns. Vercel Analytics is cookie-less, does not use cross-site tracking, and does not collect personally identifiable information. Data is processed by Vercel Inc.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest

• Limited access to personal information on a need-to-know basis

• Opt Out: You may opt out of the collection of Sensitive Personal Information at any time. To opt out of gender data collection, remove your gender from your profile settings. To opt out of location data collection, revoke location permissions in your device settings
• Request Deletion: You may request the deletion of any Sensitive Personal Information we have collected about you
• Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CPRA rights

Venus is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

7. International Users

If you are using Venus from outside the United States, please note that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to:

• Provide our services to you
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or business purposes.
